The Best of Daniel Island contest is hosted annually by The Daniel Island News and recognizes excellence across hundreds of categories — from dining and design to business and real estate. Nominations opened October 30 and close November 20, with the Top 5 finalists advancing to the voting round.

How to Vote

Visit TheDanielIslandNews.com when voting opens on December 2. Locate the “Best Real Estate Team” category and select Southern Yankee Group. You can vote once per day, so we encourage our supporters to keep voting daily until December 23.

Karen Halstead is an experienced Realtor who relocated from Houston, Texas, and now proudly calls Charleston home. Born in Port Arthur, Texas, Karen and her husband are proud “parents” to two Pomeranians, a Standard Poodle, a French Bulldog, and a parrot. As a veteran’s spouse, Ashly has lived in 11 states across the U.S. and is a great resource for our relocation clients with children moving to Charleston. Ashly moved from NYC to Daniel Island in 2018 with her husband and three children. She is an active volunteer with Daniel Island School.
